Pearl Abyss released a new hotfix for Crimson Desert on August 17, targeting stability issues that disrupt daily gameplay. This update, version 1.000.463, arrives just two days after the previous patch and focuses exclusively on bug fixes rather than adding new content. Players experiencing random character freezes or UI errors should see immediate improvements in session continuity.
Third patch in two days targets core mechanics and session continuity
The developer labeled this release as hotfix 1.18.02, marking the third patch in a short two-day window. This rapid iteration cycle suggests the studio is actively addressing critical bugs that impact core mechanics. The update does not introduce new features or balance changes, but rather aims to repair existing systems.
Specific fixes address animation stuttering and character unresponsiveness that occurred after shop interactions. The team also resolved UI errors related to camp resources and corrected silver resets triggered by specific quests. These changes target common friction points that previously interrupted player progression and inventory management.
Several known issues remain unresolved, including problems with NPC interactions, fishing mechanics, and certain faction quests. Platform-specific bugs persist, such as cursor alignment issues on Mac and virtual keyboard freezing on PlayStation. NVIDIA GTX 1060 users may still encounter FSR artifacts, a problem noted in earlier reports.
We looked at the last Crimson Desert update earlier while tracking Pearl Abyss releases, and several of the same balance and stability themes came up. The studio continues to prioritize technical fixes over content expansion in this early post-launch phase. Players can expect further patches as the team addresses the remaining known issues.
