PC HARDWARE

Asus has introduced two new OLED gaming monitors that bring 4K resolution and high refresh rates to desktop setups. These displays matter because they combine the deep contrast of OLED panels with speeds that exceed standard 60 Hz benchmarks. Gamers and creators looking for sharp visuals without motion blur now have a viable option in the 27-inch and 32-inch form factors.

New 27 and 32 inch OLED displays ship in Germany with 1000 nit brightness

The lineup includes the ROG Swift OLED PG27UCWM and the larger PG32UCWM. Both models utilize 4K OLED panels that deliver 1,000 nits of peak brightness. This brightness level ensures that highlights remain vivid even in bright room lighting. The panels also feature a 0.03 ms gray-to-gray response time to eliminate ghosting.

Spec comparison

Spec PG27UCWM PG32UCWM
Panel Size 27-inch 32-inch
Resolution 3,840 x 2,160 (4K) 3,840 x 2,160 (4K)

Peak Brightness 1,000 nits 1,000 nits
Starting Price 1,149 EUR (around $1,324) 1,259 EUR (around $1,451)

Refresh rates vary depending on the resolution you choose. You can reach 480 Hz if you drop the resolution to Full HD. At native 4K, the monitors cap out at 240 Hz. This trade-off allows users to prioritize either maximum clarity or maximum speed based on their hardware capabilities.

Connectivity options include HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1 for high-bandwidth signal transmission. A USB-C port supports up to 90 W of Power Delivery for laptop charging. The monitors also include FreeSync Premium Pro and G-Sync compatibility to prevent screen tearing. A Neo proximity sensor and AI-assisted features add convenience for daily use.

Pricing starts at 1,149 EUR (around $1,324) for the 27-inch model. The 32-inch version costs 1,259 EUR (around $1,451). Both monitors are already available for purchase in Germany. A US release date has not yet been announced.
