This update matters because the previous generation offered only a single tip type, forcing buyers to stick with one texture. The new kit lets you switch between a paper-like graphite feel and a smoother ballpoint experience on your iPad screen.

The kit is designed exclusively for Apple Pencil models, including the latest Apple Pencil Pro. Astropad updated the package contents to include four tips instead of the previous two. You now get two graphite tips and two steel ballpoint tips in each box. This allows users to test both textures without buying separate accessories.

The screen protector uses Astropad's NanoCling system, which holds to the display using static cling rather than adhesive. This bond is stronger than magnets and allows for bubble-free application. The tips are engineered to work exclusively with this textured protector to ensure the correct writing feel. The kit ships worldwide and is available now.

The price has increased to $49.99 from $40 in the previous generation. This cost covers the four tips and the static cling screen protector. Buyers who want the new dual-feel experience must purchase the full kit. The upgrade replaces the single-tip option that defined the earlier version of the product.
