Tentaka Shuzo is launching a new alcoholic beverage tied to the Umamusume franchise. The product features the character Tokai Teio and aims to bring her favorite drink to life for fans. This release marks a new category of merchandise for the popular gaming IP.
Tentaka Shuzo releases 720ml bottle featuring chibi figure
The drink is a honey-based mead called Tokai Teio Hachimi no Osake. It draws inspiration from the character's canonical preference for a sweet honey beverage known as Hachimi. The bottle design includes a small chibi figure of Tokai Teio holding a honey pot.
Each 720ml bottle contains Japanese honey and sake yeast as its primary ingredients. The brewery formulated the recipe to be approachable for people who do not usually drink mead. It also provides a strong honey flavor for those who prefer sweeter alcoholic drinks.
Sales begin in Japan on June 23 at a price of 4900 JPY (around $30.54). Customers are limited to purchasing three bottles per person. This follows previous Umamusume collaborations, such as a vodka-based lemon sour released earlier.
