Street Fighter 6 developers are weighing a potential Baki the Killer collaboration after seeing Tekken 8's Yujiro Hanma DLC. The discussion surfaced during developer commentary at Summer Game Fest 2025. Takayuki Nakayama, Street Fighter 6 director, questioned how Yujiro's overwhelming manga power scaling would translate into gameplay balance.

Nakayama and producer Shuhei Matsumoto discussed the upcoming Virtua Fighter: Crossroads title from Sega. Both developers expressed genuine excitement about the new fighting game announcement. The comments highlight ongoing cross-franchise interest within the genre.

Street Fighter 6 previously partnered with Baki for in-game cosmetics during 2023 and 2024. Nakayama noted that another collaboration remains possible but unconfirmed. He described the idea as cool without committing to a specific timeline or project details.

The next DLC character for Street Fighter 6, Yasmine, is scheduled for release in Summer 2026. This follows the existing Season 3 and Season 4 DLC roadmap. The developer commentary centers on gameplay balance rather than immediate content updates.
