Sabotage Studios released the final patch for Sea of Stars, titled the Sunset Edition update. This release marks the conclusion of active development on the role-playing game. The studio confirmed that Project Sparrow has entered production.
Final patch adds cinematic intro and balancing changes before studio pivots to Project Sparrow
This patch is available for Sea of Stars on every platform where the game is currently playable. Players receive version 1.15 or 1.015 depending on their system. The patch introduces a new cinematic intro sequence and expands the sprite-based flashback storytelling mechanics.
Key changes include balancing adjustments for Normal and Hard difficulty modes. Developers split the Tactician’s Mettle relic into two separate items called Tactician’s Mettle and Ray of Sunset. The update also addresses various bug fixes to improve stability.
Sabotage Studios confirmed that Project Sparrow is currently in production. They declined to share further details about the upcoming title at this time. This project follows Sea of Stars as the studio moves forward with new development work.
The Sunset Edition patch represents the last major content update for Sea of Stars. Sabotage Studios has shifted focus entirely to Project Sparrow. Players can now experience the complete version of the game with all planned balancing and story additions.
