Microsoft is updating its flagship tablet lineup. The Surface Pro 12 arrives on June 16 with a new processor and longer battery life. The change matters for anyone looking for a powerful, portable Windows device.

Snapdragon X2 powers the new Surface Pro 12

The Surface Pro 12 runs on Qualcomm's Snapdragon X2 platform. The chip has 12 cores, likely one of the X2E-78-100, X2E-80-100, or X2E-84-100 models. Microsoft is keeping the exact variant unconfirmed for now.
