Dell has expanded its Pro 5 Series 16 lineup with Ryzen AI 400 processors. The new model, P516265, brings high-performance computing to a 16-inch laptop. The laptop is designed for professionals requiring robust CPU and GPU performance.

Configurable with top-tier AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX Pro 470

The laptop is configurable with up to an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX Pro 470 processor. That chip delivers a 49% performance improvement over the Ryzen AI 5 Pro 435 in benchmarks, according to Notebookcheck. In GPU workloads, the advantage extends to over 80%.

Specifications

  • Processor: AMD Ryzen AI 5 Pro 435 up to Ryzen AI 9 HX Pro 470
  • RAM: Up to 64 GB DDR5-5600
  • Storage: Up to 2 TB
  • Display: Up to 1600p, 500-nit, 120 Hz VRR IPS, anti-glare
  • Battery: 45 Wh, 57 Wh, or 70 Wh

The laptop offers generous memory and storage configurations. Buyers can equip the P516265 with up to 64 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM and up to 2 TB of storage. The RAM is user-replaceable, using standard DDR5 instead of the more efficient LPCAMM2 found in Intel-based models.

The display reaches up to 1600p resolution with 500 nits brightness and a 120 Hz variable refresh rate. It uses an IPS panel with an anti-glare coating. All display options use IPS technology.

Battery choices include 45 Wh, 57 Wh, and 70 Wh capacities. Supported chargers are 65 W, 100 W, or 65 W GaN. For wireless connectivity, the laptop offers Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7, plus optional Snapdragon X12 4G or MediaTek T700 5G cellular modems.

Pricing starts at 2099 USD (about $2,099) in the US. The laptop is available globally starting mid-Q2 2026. This price is significantly lower than comparable Panther Lake-based models.
