Activision is adding a Classic mode to Black Ops 7 Season 4 that strips away modern movement mechanics. The update aims to recreate the gameplay feel of Black Ops 2 by restricting Omnimovement, wall jumps, and sliding.

This mode caters to players seeking a more conventional first-person shooter experience compared to the advanced movement mechanics featured in previous games. The developer created this feature to appeal to enthusiasts familiar with earlier installments in the series.

Matt Scronce confirmed that Classic mode intentionally limits core movement abilities to match Black Ops 2 standards. The update also applies additional feature restrictions beyond just movement mechanics.

This mode is included in the Season 4 update and requires no additional downloads or manual settings adjustments to enable. These limitations are enforced immediately upon selecting Classic mode during multiplayer sessions.
