PC HARDWARE

is looking to launch 5080 24 GB at CES 2027. This new rumored card might be the gamechanger in high end PC gaming segment. GeForce RTX 5080 24 GB could be targeting users looking for high video memory usage and longevity for the games.

Rumors suggest a paper launch with no physical stock available at CES 2027

The rumoured $1500 price tag for this card is what makes it look like a competitor to RTX 5090. This is what creates a question of value.

This rumoured GPU's main focus is its specification, which is 24 GB of VRAM. The primary focus of 24 GB VRAM is to avoid memory limitations in today's games and creative apps. Nvidia is looking to bring this hardware in their regular GeForce line up. What the silicon would look like is not clear yet.

The overall talk in the industry is that it could possibly be paper launch with no physical stock for the foreseeable future. Renowned leaker, Moore's law is dead, says that the AIB partners are not given the design document yet for 24 GB. This lack of any preparation for the partners makes it highly unlikely that we would see this card in actual shops at launch.

The rumoured official MSRP for this is around $1500. This price tag is more of a flagship tier. If the 5080's rumoured price tag would be $1500, then it will be in same ballpark as 5090. It will be interesting to see if Nvidia can back up the price with no confirmed benchmark and no documentation with AIB partners.
