I am looking at the new shop features and the Bayonetta unlock. Does the offline Rival Duel mode allow you to earn Donpa Tickets directly or is that only for the online matches?

The update notes specify that you play specific missions to get Donpa tickets. Rival Duels grant Duel Medals instead. The shop sells characters like Bayonetta so you likely need to farm those medals.

The shift to win streaks for ranking is a smart move. It stops casuals from hoarding points while high level players stay engaged. The collision nerf helps too.

finally a 7th gadget slot 😅 the super slot sounds broken for acceleration builds but i am here for it.

The article claims the Super Slot requires a Grand Master Plate. This is a strict hardware requirement for the slot itself not just a cosmetic unlock. You need the plate to equip the slot.

I have been waiting for the Best-of-10 endurance test. The current format feels too short for competitive ranking. This change should fix the pacing issues.

Is the Bayonetta character free if you win the offline duels or do I need to buy her from the shop with Donpa Tickets?

Winning the offline Rival Duels unlocks the Bayonetta character directly. You do not need to purchase her from the shop. The shop is for other cosmetics and characters.
