New frozen biome and survival mechanics arrive December 1
Why this matters. This is a game changer, a whole new survival landscape, changing the way you are going to resource gather and fight.
Change from desert to the frozen north of Arrakis. The new environment is the Polar abyss. New snowy landscapes take over the usual sandy areas. It's a whole new type of environment you have to explore, freeze, low visibility.
Funcom has made this a way to test your survival skills with a different type of environmental threat. There is around 35 hours of new gameplay content which is all based on temperature and surface survival. Your items and play style will need to adjust for the cold unforgiving polar abyss.
Changes to combat mechanics to account for the new ice landscape and enemies. Also they are coming out with an offline single player version in November (?? Year??)
