ANDROID

BLEACH Mirrors High, the final arc of the anime series, will be released by Bandai Namco on October 28 for mobile. It's important for fans because it gives them the ability to play the Thousand-Year Blood War with full interactive control on their phone. The mobile game will be a free-to-play game for iOS and Android.

Bandai Namco releases free-to-play mobile game with original story

Developed by Bandai Namco, BLEACH Mirrors High has an original story set after the anime's final arc. It will feature all-new designs for its characters from BLEACH's original creator, Tite Kubo. The game is focused on an immersive action experience that has been optimized for mobile.

BLEACH Mirrors High will feature tactical squad gameplay that centers around managing three characters. It has strategic elements based on cards that offer players the ability to perform powerful combos through SOUL DRIVE. The system is meant to be built around managing a team, rather than a single powerful character.

You can already pre-register for the game through the App Store and Google Play. We've been following the game since beta opened up back in July. That's when you could get early access to Tite Kubo's new designs for his characters. Now, we're moving to a full release for the public.

BLEACH Mirrors High will be available worldwide for iOS and Android on October 28. It's a free-to-play game with an original story from Tite Kubo. Now you can enjoy tactical squad gameplay on your phone.

Tactical squad combat on mobile is a crowded space. Bandai Namco needs to prove this SOUL DRIVE system isn’t just a reskin of existing gacha mechanics.

I am playing on my commute. Does the game allow offline play for the story mode or does it require constant online checks?

    1. M0therb04rd

The article does not mention offline support. You should assume it is online-only for a gacha title.

  3. janky42

original story after the war tbh I just want to see more ichigo designs

  4. Tamsin

Can you switch squads during combat or are they locked in once the battle starts?

    1. IroncladOwl

The text says it centers around managing three characters. It likely allows switching to counter enemy skills.

Mobile optimization usually means thermal throttling on mid-range phones. I doubt this will run smooth for long sessions.

  6. Kestrel

Tite Kubo designs are the only reason I care. The rest is just another mobile game wrapper.

  7. StaticBloom

pre-registering now just to see if the beta builds were better

Global launch is good news. I hate waiting for region locked releases.

Free to play means I can try it without risk. Lets see if the gacha rates are fair.

I will wait for the server merge and first anniversary packs. That is when the value actually appears.

I love the squad mechanic. It feels more strategic than just tapping one button for a big attack.

Monetization will be heavy. I expect to see daily login rewards that push you to open packs.
