The patches apply to the PlayStation 5 and Steam versions of the titles within the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2. Konami distributed the updates as separate downloads for each platform. Players need to check their respective store pages or library to see if the new version numbers are available for download.
Metal Gear Solid 4 received update version 1.004.003 on the base platform. The PlayStation 5 Master Collection version of the game updated to Ver.1.4.1. Peace Walker received update 1.301 on the base platform and Ver.1.3.2 on Steam, while the PS5 version updated to Ver.1.3.1. These version numbers confirm the patches are live on all supported systems.
Konami fixed a critical issue in Metal Gear Solid 4 where progress could become impossible in Act.3 under certain conditions. The developer also changed the search method when executing the SEARCH HOST feature in Peace Walker. Konami stated they fixed minor issues alongside these primary changes.
