The version 1.4 update for Neverness to Everness arrives on September 30, bringing substantial new narrative content and platform-wide optimizations. This patch introduces a new main episode and a dedicated spinoff storyline for players seeking deeper engagement with the game's expanding world. The update also adds a new park-themed location, new characters, and quality-of-life improvements that affect daily gameplay loops. Players on , PC, iOS, and Android can download the update now.

Perfect World Games released the update, officially titled 'For Whom the Verses Mourn,' across all supported platforms. The patch introduces a new main episode called 'The Witch' alongside a new spinoff storyline named 'To Us, Back Then.' Players can explore the new location Pukaland and encounter a new location anomaly called St. Arbor. The update also brings two new playable characters, Blackbird and Akane Rin, to the roster.

New vehicles are available through Mystery Boxes, including the Porsche 911 Turbo (930) and the Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach Package. The Porsche Club offers the classic Salzburg livery along with furniture, namecards, and phone accessories. Limited character boards for Blackbird, Lacrimosa, and Akane Rin share pity counters and progress tracking. Skin Perks progress remains independent but carries over between boards with the same name.

Optimization highlights include multiplayer support for Volley Star and a follow-cam option in Photo Mode's Drone Mode. The Going, Going, Gone! auction house adds new collectibles and features Blackbird as an Auction Assistant. A new One-Tap Bond Gifting option allows players to quickly max out bond levels with A Handwritten Letter. The Friends interface now recommends new players to add, and character unlock animations replay when lingering on the interface.

We looked at the last Neverness to Everness update earlier while tracking recent patch notes, and this release continues that trend of content expansion. The update includes a City Tycoon Puka Membership Program with rewards scaling up to Level 45. Event dates span from late September through November 11, covering activities like Pukaland Travelogue and Terminal Depths. Players can redeem codes WITCHOUSE, THEWHOOTS, and PUKALANDGOGO for rewards through September 20.
