Daybreak Game Company is expanding the reach of its cooperative shooter sequel to include Nintendo's upcoming hybrid console. This move extends the player base for Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 beyond the current generation of home consoles and personal computers. Players who prefer portable gaming will finally have a dedicated window to join the squad on the go.
Co-op shooter sequel arrives on major platforms this month with handheld version following
The title serves as the direct sequel to the original cooperative third-person shooter developed by Cold Iron Studios. It retains the core four-player co-op structure that defined the first release. The title is designed for players who enjoy cooperative, squad-based action within the Alien universe.
The initial launch window targets major platforms with a firm release date of August 25. Buyers can access the game on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series consoles, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. The game launches on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC, providing access across major current-generation platforms.
A separate version for the Nintendo Switch 2 is scheduled to arrive later in the year. The publisher has confirmed this release will happen this fall, though no specific day has been set yet. The delayed Switch 2 release provides additional time for optimization on the new handheld platform.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 confirms its presence on both current-gen consoles and the next-generation Switch 2. The August 25 date marks the start of global availability for PC and home console players. The fall release for Switch 2 completes the platform rollout for the sequel.
