Daybreak Game Company has announced Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2, a sequel to the co-op shooter. The game is set to release in summer 2025.
Expanded co-op and new class details
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Epic Games Store, and Steam. It expands the co-op from three players to four. New customization options let players mix weapons, abilities, and classes. A new character class called the Specialist has been added.
The game will launch globally in summer 2025.
Game director Chris Cross said the team is doubling down on action and terror to deliver an experience worthy of the Alien franchise. John Drake, GM of 20th Century Games, noted that the sequel honors the world of Aliens as the franchise approaches its 40th anniversary in 2026.
