This update matters because it confirms the game's narrative direction and technical capabilities ahead of its launch. Buyers waiting for the next entry in the franchise now have concrete details on the story and PC features.

Activision confirms October 23 launch and PC ray tracing support

The campaign mission shown in the trailer is titled Losing Ground. Infinity Ward developed the game, and the footage features South Korean soldiers alongside Captain Price. The action spans multiple global locations including Korea, New York, Paris, and Mumbai.

The PC version of the game will support Ray Tracing. It also includes various upscaling tools and options to help manage performance. These features aim to improve visual fidelity and frame rates on compatible hardware.

Activision states that the multiplayer mode will offer smooth movement and greater player control. The publisher claims this design provides more freedom in every battle. The company has not yet revealed the specific PC system requirements for the game.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is scheduled for a global release on October 23. The official campaign description states that a full-scale invasion pushes the world to the edge of war.
