Wallhack is expanding beyond its mousepad roots with the K-001, a new wired mechanical keyboard designed for competitive gaming. This launch matters because it introduces magnetic Hall Effect switches and an 8,000Hz polling rate to a form factor that balances desk space with full functionality. Gamers who need precise input control can now test a device that prioritizes speed and customization over traditional mechanical switches.

The K-001 is Wallhack's first entry into the keyboard market.

First keyboard from the mousepad maker features rapid trigger tech

The K-001 utilizes a 65% layout built from CNC-machined 6063 aluminum. It pairs this rigid chassis with double-shot PBT keycaps for durability. The core innovation lies in its switch technology, which uses magnetic Hall Effect sensors instead of physical metal contacts. Wallhack partnered with Gateron to develop the KS-TR Linear magnetic switches for this model.

Specifications

  • Form Factor: 65% wired mechanical
  • Switch Type: Magnetic Hall Effect (KS-TR Linear)
  • Actuation Resolution: 0.01mm
  • Polling Rate: 8,000Hz
  • Chassis Material: CNC-machined 6063 aluminum

These magnetic switches offer an actuation resolution of 0.01mm. Users can adjust the exact point where a keypress registers to suit their preference. The keyboard supports Rapid Trigger, allowing keys to reset instantly when released. It maintains an 8,000Hz polling rate and a 16,000Hz scan rate for minimal input lag.

Configuration does not require a desktop application. Wallhack uses a web-based tool called Wallhack Terminal to handle settings. This approach simplifies setup for users who prefer browser-based management. The company has not yet revealed pricing or availability details for the K-001.

Wallhack is known for its mousepads, making the K-001 its first entry into the keyboard market. The device combines high-speed polling with adjustable actuation points. Buyers should wait for official pricing and release dates before making a decision.
