The first unofficial native PC port of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess has been released. The port, called Dusk, comes from the team TwilitRealm. It allows the GameCube classic to run on PC without emulation.

Dusk port features uncapped framerates

Dusk features uncapped framerates, going beyond the original 30FPS or 60FPS limits. It includes full gyro aim support and is fully compatible with the . The port also adds quality-of-life improvements such as fast climbing, skip dialogues, fast transformation, and the ability to change time with Sun's Song.

The port is available now globally. To play, users need a North American (NTSC) or European (PAL) GameCube ROM file of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. There is no support for the Wii version yet.

According to the Dusk developers, the game world still updates at 30 ticks per second to maintain faithfulness to the original. When the framerate exceeds the tick rate, Dusk uses interpolation to render frames between ticks, similar to modern game engines. This approach ensures the game behaves as expected for speedrunners and other players.
