Bandai Namco Entertainment has released Tekken 8 update 3.001.001 for game version 3.01. The patch arrives alongside the release of Kunimitsu as a playable character via DLC. Early access to the new fighter begins May 27, 2026 (PDT) / May 28, 2026 (CEST). General availability follows on June 1, 2026 (PDT) / June 2, 2026 (CEST).
Kunimitsu DLC becomes playable alongside balance adjustments and cosmetic updates.
The update targets the current game version 3.01 and introduces balance adjustments for Heat-related moves. Developers addressed unintended move behaviors that were causing gameplay inconsistencies. The patch also adds a new cosmetic item called the Aurora Outfit Pack. This pack is available exclusively to Season 3 Pass owners.
Kunimitsu joins the roster through the TEKKEN FIGHT PASS -ROUND 10-. The pass offers both free and premium tiers, with premium access granting TEKKEN COINS for in-game shop purchases. Players can acquire the character during the early access window or wait for the general release date.
