Samsung has begun rolling out the September 2026 security patch to Galaxy devices, closing 90 vulnerabilities including 18 critical fixes from Google.

Samsung has started pushing the September 2026 security patch to a wide range of Galaxy smartphones and tablets. This update matters because it closes 90 security holes that could expose user data to attackers. Users should apply the fix immediately to keep their devices secure against known exploits.

The patch targets the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Z Flip 8. It also covers older models like the Galaxy Fold 5 and Z Flip 5. The update extends to the Galaxy S26 FE and the entire Galaxy S23 lineup.

Samsung and Google jointly address 58 vulnerabilities from Google, including 18 critical and 40 high-severity issues. Samsung Mobile contributes 31 patches, with two critical and three high fixes. One additional patch comes from Samsung Semiconductor.

The update is available for Galaxy A, M, and F series devices. It also reaches Galaxy Tab S11, S10, S9, and Active 5 models. Users must manually check for updates in the settings menu to install the patch.

We noticed the company missed its timeline for the Galaxy S26 series One UI 9 global rollout. This delay suggests some devices may receive the security patch later than others. The update rollout remains gradual and region-dependent.
