Riot Games is preparing to release League of Legends Patch 26.11 on May 28. The update focuses on bringing melee supports back into the meta. Ranged supports have dominated in 2026 because role quests favor them.

The patch includes buffs to runes and items that benefit melee supports. Aftershock, Guardian, Heartsteel, Knight's Vow, Locket of the Iron Solari, and Zeke's are all getting buffs. System nerfs target Dreammaker, Echoes of Helia, and Summon: Aery. Voidgrubs rewards are also being buffed to encourage roaming for objectives.
Champion changes include buffs for Diana, Ekko, Heimerdinger, Kassadin, and Quinn. Teemo is receiving nerfs. Xin Zhao is getting adjustments to his AP build. System adjustments are planned for Grubs, Hexplate, Imperial Mandate, and Statikk Shiv.
According to Riot Games, the goal is to improve diversity in the support ecosystem. Matt 'Phroxzon' Leung-Harrison noted that roaming currently carries a high systemic cost. The list of changes may not be final, as Riot has made hotfix adjustments in the past.
