The Pokemon Company is releasing a new stress-relief toy that lets fans squeeze Ditto to watch its expression shift. The product provides a physical way to engage with a well-known character from the franchise beyond its video game and animated appearances. Collectors interested in tactile toys or Pokemon items may consider this a distinctive addition to their collection.

Yuka Morii designs stress-relief toy with shifting expressions

The product is a squishy Ditto toy designed by Yuka Morii, a longtime Pokemon artist known for her work on the Trading Card Game. This physical toy represents the shape-shifting Pokemon and is designed to reflect the creature's soft and flexible characteristics.

Each unit costs 3,080 JPY (around $19.10). The toy is available for international shipping through Ash Concept's KONCENT online store. It will also arrive at Pokemon Center locations across Japan on July 17.

The design allows the toy to change expressions from happy to pride, surprise, and sadness when squeezed. Morii described the toy as something that 'changes to match your mood' whether you are feeling nervous or having fun. She noted that the toy is small enough to keep in the palm of your hand.

The item joins an expanding range of Pokemon merchandise that emphasizes tactile play and character expression. The toy connects the digital design of the character with a physical collectible form.
