The sales figures indicate that the game maintains strong retail demand for the Switch platform even as it ages. Consumers seeking reliable titles for Nintendo hardware can consider this rhythm game as a solid choice.

Hardware gap widens as rhythm game maintains retail dominance

The sales data covers the period from July 13 to July 19, 2026, and highlights the ongoing dominance of the Switch ecosystem in the region. Rhythm Heaven Groove moved 76,786 retail copies during this seven-day window. This volume keeps the game firmly ahead of all other competing titles in the physical market.

Hardware sales figures reveal a significant gap between Nintendo's console and its competitors in Japan. The Switch 2 family sold 24,928 units, establishing it as the leading hardware platform for the week. In contrast, the family sold 9,574 units, while the Xbox Series family sold just 93 units.

Newly released titles also achieved strong positions on the weekly sales charts. eBaseball: PRO SPIRIT 2026 for the PlayStation 5 led new single-SKU releases with 20,661 copies sold. Meanwhile, Kyoto Xanadu showed strong cross-platform appeal, moving 15,431 copies on Switch and 13,206 on PS5 for a combined total of 28,637 copies.
