MSI has announced a new gaming desktop that puts an AI companion front and center. The MEG Vision X2 AI+ features a built-in AI Holostage display that projects a virtual assistant named LuckyClaw. This is not just a gimmick: the AI can adjust performance profiles, monitor settings, and RGB lighting through voice or text commands.

AI companion LuckyClaw responds to voice and text commands

The desktop is built around 's Core Ultra processors and can be configured with up to an RTX 5090 graphics card. MSI claims the system delivers up to 3400 TOPS of total AI performance, combining CPU, GPU, and NPU capabilities. The AI performance targets both gaming and creative workloads.

Specifications

  • Processor: Intel Core Ultra
  • GPU: up to Nvidia RTX 5090
  • AI Performance: up to 3400 TOPS
  • Cooling: 360mm liquid cooler
  • Storage: PCIe 5.0

Cooling comes from a 360mm liquid cooler, which should keep the high-end components in check. The system supports PCIe 5.0 storage and DDR5 memory, ensuring fast data access. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, 5G Ethernet, and Thunderbolt 5, covering both wireless and wired networking needs.

The AI companion LuckyClaw is the standout feature. According to MSI, users can ask LuckyClaw to adjust system performance profiles, change monitor settings, or swap RGB lighting colors using natural voice or text commands. The Holostage display shows the assistant as a holographic pet, adding a visual element to the interaction.

MSI has not yet announced pricing or a release date for the MEG Vision X2 AI+. MSI often unveils high-end desktops at events such as Computex or CES, so an official announcement may come later this year.

The MEG Vision X2 AI+ is part of a growing trend of AI-integrated gaming hardware. While many vendors offer software-based AI assistants, MSI's use of a dedicated holographic display and a virtual pet is distinctive. The system's specs make it a high-end gaming rig, but the AI features will need to demonstrate practical value beyond novelty.

For now, the confirmed details include Intel Core Ultra processors, up to RTX 5090 graphics, 3400 TOPS AI performance, 360mm liquid cooling, PCIe 5.0, DDR5, Wi-Fi 7, 5G Ethernet, and Thunderbolt 5. Pricing and availability remain unknown.
