GTA V engine has turned into a time machine for the next GTA VI trailer of the upcoming game launch. Here's the fan recreation of the new title, made by fans who are already using available tools to imagine the next big hit before the real launch. This is a preview for all the fans who're eager for the next game in the series and now can check out the vision of the upcoming game atmosphere, character design etc., using familiar assets.
Fan creator GearOS Play uses last-gen engine to simulate next-gen title visuals
The video in question was created by fan creator called GearOS Play. In his video, the fan managed to replace the main protagonist of the game, who was supposed to be Lucia, with Amanda De Santa (from the previous game). In this video, you can see how Amanda makes her way through scenes that have a similar structure to the official trailer. Here's an opportunity to see what limitations we're dealing with in terms of visuals, using older game assets for new characters.
The whole recreation was made only using GTA V assets and mechanics. By the way, there's a side-by-side comparison with the original game launch trailer, which shows the difference between lighting and characters. You can see the technical process of recreation that makes it possible to recreate the visuals of the upcoming game in this fan video.
The Grand Theft Auto VI is set to release on November 19, 2026. This game will be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. There're a few years ahead for the players to prepare for the release. This fan project can serve as a temporary alternative to the visuals of the upcoming marketing materials that should appear before November 2026.
