Capcom opened the doors to Monster Hunter Wilds with a new Prologue Demo that lets players test the game before buying. The demo covers the prologue and extends through the beginning of Chapter 1-3, titled "To the Forest." Capcom is restructuring how players can purchase the full game and its extras. The new Gold Edition costs $79.99 and serves as the standard premium tier. A Cosmetic Downloadable Content Collection is available for $59.99 for players who want visual customization. An Extras Cosmetic Downloadable Content Pack is also on sale for $29.99. These bundles replace the previous Deluxe and Premium Deluxe editions that Capcom is now phasing out.
Save data from the demo transfers directly to the full version of the game. This means your character progress and choices will carry over when you buy the complete title. Capcom also confirmed that a version for the Nintendo Switch 2 is currently in development. A major expansion is scheduled to arrive in 2027, though the specific name remains unlisted.
