NVIDIA MFG Unlocker has now 1.5.0 version providing faster frame generation preset for the older RTX 30 series GPUs. This update is important as it opens up performance capabilities that were otherwise reserved for newer GPUs on older hardware. Meaning users can potentially upgrade their framerates without having to buy new hardware.
Update enables faster Preset C model and smoother frame pacing for older hardware
The update offers DLSS Frame Generation Preset C, which is optimized for speed instead of image quality. Modders have added this preset to MFG Unlocker tool for RTX 30 series GPUs. This tool lets your GPU use the new frame generation model Type-C that NVIDIA created for the latest GPUs.
According to NVIDIA, the new preset C gives you 10 percent performance boost with 2x frame multiplier. NVIDIA says that the 6x multiplier gets you 36 percent boost in performance. Additionally, this version introduces better frame pacing on RTX 30 series for 3x or higher multipliers. Any GPU can use the XeSS MFG 2x – 6x thanks to the mod.
Previously, we wrote about a driver update that added HW-accelerated Nvidia RTX to macOS 15 Sequoia. The previous update was more platform oriented instead of offering performance presets. This new update to MFG Unlocker is for the same vendor, but is focused on a different performance issue.
Now with MFG Unlocker tool, RTX 30 series users can make use of the new faster Preset C model. The update also adds some quality-of-life features such as better frame pacing for higher multipliers. Just be aware that the actual performance numbers from official sources might be different on older hardware than newer GPUs.
