Maxsun revealed two new Mobile-on-Desktop motherboard designs at Computex 2026, expanding options for builders who want to use mobile processors on a desktop platform. The company introduced the SK-PTLNAS model alongside a second board that targets lower-power systems.

New ATX and mATX designs enable mobile processors in standard cases

The first board uses 's Panther Lake processor and follows an ATX layout. This design allows NAS builds to fit inside standard desktop cases while keeping the footprint of a traditional motherboard. The second board relies on Intel's Wildcat Lake chip and adopts a smaller mATX form factor for compact, energy-efficient systems.

The SK-PTLNAS accommodates processors with a maximum thermal design power of 28 watts from the Panther Lake lineup. It maintains full ATX dimensions so it can mount in common desktop enclosures without requiring special brackets or adapters. The Wildcat Lake board targets lower-power configurations and also caps at 28W TDP for efficiency.
