HP is bringing local AI acceleration to its latest laptop lineup with the OmniBook Ultra 16 and OmniBook X 14. These machines let users run heavy AI workloads directly on the device without relying on cloud services. That shift matters because it keeps sensitive data on your desk while delivering high-speed processing for creative and technical tasks.

New laptops target local AI workloads with Blackwell GPUs and OLED screens

The new hardware relies on 's RTX Spark N1X GPU, which uses the Blackwell architecture. You can choose between an 18-core CPU paired with a 5,120-core GPU or a 20-core CPU with a 6,144-core variant. This setup targets professionals who need serious graphical horsepower for local AI applications.

Memory and storage options are robust, supporting up to 128 GB of LPDDR5X-9400 RAM and a 2 TB PCIe Gen5 NVMe SSD. Both models feature 3K OLED displays with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1,100 nits of HDR brightness. The 16-inch Ultra 16 includes a 99 Wh battery, while the 14-inch X 14 packs an 80 Wh cell.

HP claims the top configuration delivers up to 1 PFLOP of FP4 AI performance. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and two 40 Gbps USB-C ports. We looked at Asus ProArt P14 lists with RTX earlier while tracking Hp launches. Both laptops will arrive globally this fall, though HP has not yet revealed the pricing.

These OmniBook models offer a concrete path for users who need high-end AI compute without external hardware. The combination of Blackwell GPUs and fast LPDDR5X memory defines the performance envelope for these devices. Buyers can expect availability in the coming months once the price is announced.
