TechPowerUp released GPU-Z version 2.71.0 to bring essential monitoring capabilities to the latest Blackwell architecture. This update matters because the new GeForce 50 series introduces thermal sensors that previous versions of the tool could not read. Users who rely on GPU-Z for system diagnostics will now see accurate hotspot temperatures and memory chip heat levels. The release also adds support for several unreleased or recently announced hardware platforms.

The software update adds overclocking readouts and detects unreleased hardware

The software now includes a dedicated overclocking readout interface for NVIDIA GPUs on the advanced tab. This feature reports OC frequencies including XBAR, SYS, video clock, and boost lock status. Users can enable reading of NVIDIA SYS, L2, and Video clocks through the sensor settings, though these options remain disabled by default. The new overclocking readout enables users to monitor clock stability directly within the application.

GPU-Z now reports PCI-Express bandwidth throughput numbers in GB/s for NVIDIA GPUs. A new sensor reports PCI-Express bandwidth throughput in GB/s for NVIDIA GPUs. The update also adds support for the NVIDIA RTX 5060 based on the GB205 architecture. Additionally, the tool recognizes the unreleased RTX 4070 10 GB variant, which helps users identify hardware before official driver support arrives.

Support extends to Panther Lake, Lunar Lake, and Arrow Lake H processors including models like the 285H and 265H. Qualcomm Snapdragon X2-90, X2-85, and X2-45 chips are also now detected correctly. The patch notes confirm several bug fixes, such as a corrected transistor count for the GP102 chip and improved LPDDR5X detection on Intel Meteor Lake.
