Sword & Axe LLC reveals the final tactical RPG installment during IGN Live Indie Loop showcase event

The title maintains the franchise's distinctive combination of grid-based strategy gameplay and randomized run mechanics. Players control two distinct armies led by Gwyn and Arthur Sildarian throughout a dual-narrative campaign. The developer expanded the available roster to include 74 classes spread across 28 playable characters.

Combat systems now feature over 100 unique weapons that interact with more than 60 Rings for build complexity. A built-in Randomizer returns with robust modifiers that allow players to customize run parameters. Players can modify challenge levels and loot distribution prior to starting a new session.

Developers created the larger character selection to enable varied strategic options within each faction. The split storyline enables both protagonists to function separately or together based on user decisions. Users may combine various character types from the complete list to form tailored squads for specific challenges.

Dark Deity 3 positions itself as a definitive conclusion to the series after half a decade of development. This installment expands on core systems while implementing major adjustments to support the increased number of characters. Earlier games in the series established the foundation for this broader scale via continuous development improvements.
