DICE has released update 1.3.1.0 for Battlefield 6, marking the launch of Season 3 on May 12. The update introduces Warlords: Supremacy, which serves as the opening chapter of a new three-part seasonal rollout. This update brings significant changes to gameplay mechanics, new content, and technical enhancements for players across all platforms.
Season 3 begins on May 12 with Warlords: Supremacy map and new competitive modes.
The most notable addition is the Railway to Golmud map, which stands as the largest map in the game's history. DICE also introduces Ranked Battle Royale Quads, described as the first step toward competitive play. Players can now master three new weapons: the M16A4, L115, and RPK-74M. The Season 3 Battle Pass features over 100 tiers of rewards and includes the return of the Dagger 13 weapon.
Vehicle handling and damage models have undergone a major overhaul in this patch. The health of Main Battle Tanks (MBT) has increased to 1200, while Armored Personnel Transports (APT) have been reduced to 800. The regeneration rate for vehicles has doubled from approximately 5% to 10% per second. DICE also removed regeneration brackets and expanded the Critical Assist window from 1.5 seconds to 3 seconds to improve combat flow.
Technical improvements include support for advanced upscaling technologies. The update adds AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 4.1 and Intel XeSS 3.0 support. PlayStation 5 Pro users benefit from enhanced upscaling quality via PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution 2. Bug fixes address netcode issues, animation corrections, and various UI updates to stabilize the experience.
DICE stated that Warlords: Supremacy sets the tone for the battles ahead with its new map and modes. The developer confirmed that the seasonal rollout will unfold across the duration of Season 3. The update is available globally starting May 12. No specific pricing details for the Battle Pass or individual items have been disclosed in the current patch notes.
