EA released the Season 3 update for Battlefield 6 on May 12. The patch arrives as version 1.000.020 for console players. Console users will download an update file that is approximately 3 GB in size. This update marks the official launch of the third seasonal content cycle for the title.

New weapons and battle pass rewards available now

The update introduces Railway to Golmud, which EA describes as the largest map in the game. Players can now equip three new weapons: the M16A4 assault rifle, the L115 sniper rifle, and the RPK-74M light machine gun. EA also added Ranked Battle Royale Quads to provide a competitive mode for the battle royale experience.

Season 3 includes a new Battle Pass with over 100 tiers of rewards. The update also brings a Battlefield Pro expansion for subscribers. EA implemented a major overhaul to vehicle balance, specifically targeting tank damage models, regeneration brackets, and handling mechanics.

Technical improvements include support for FidelityFX Super Resolution 4.1 and 3.0 upscaling technologies. Pro users gain enhanced upscaling quality through support for PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution 2. These additions aim to improve visual fidelity and performance across supported platforms.
