Players can also engage with the new Top Gun: Carrier Strike mode and participate in the Gauntlet: Fighter Sweep challenge. The event introduces the CJTF Helix squad unit and offers themed rewards alongside a limited-time currency.
Technical improvements form the backbone of patch 1.4.2.0, addressing long-standing community feedback on vehicle handling and visual clarity. DICE implemented significant fixes to vehicle physics, underwater animations, and weapon consistency across all modes. A new crosshair option now visualizes weapon dispersion while aiming down sights, a feature enabled by default in the Firing Range.
