Gamigo has released a new content update for the voxel MMO Trove that changes how players progress through idle mechanics. This shift matters because it allows users to advance their characters without staying logged in, reducing the pressure to maintain constant play sessions. The update introduces a system called Tiny Quests that automates part of the gameplay loop.

Gamigo adds background progression and restores the trading hub

The core of this change is the Tiny Quests feature, which lets players dispatch Allies on expeditions. Users manage these expeditions through the Tadpole Tours Embarkation Station within the game world. The system operates on background timers, meaning progress continues even when the player is offline.

Quests vary in difficulty and require between one and seven allies to complete. Each squad member charged a flux fee, adding a resource cost to the expeditions. Rewards for these quests include Ally experience points, stat upgrades, and event currencies like dragon coins and soul of the depths. Higher complexity quests unlock access to 5-star rewards.

The update also marks the return of the in-game Marketplace, known as the Auction House, which has been offline since December. Alongside this return, the annual Elysian Initiation event is live through August 18. Players can earn Sol Sigils and Elysian Emblems by completing four Pillars and the Trial of Mastery. The event also introduces five new seasonal collectibles, including mounts and an ally skin.

This update provides a way for idle players to progress while addressing the long absence of the trading hub. The combination of automated quests and the restored Marketplace offers new ways to engage with the game economy and character growth.
