Ayn Technologies adds a 1TB storage variant to the Odin 3 Portal handheld for $669. The device keeps the Snapdragon 8 Elite and 16GB RAM without performance upgrades.

HANDHELD GAMING

Ayn Technologies adds new 1 TB storage option to Odin 3 Portal handheld for bigger game libraries at no extra charge The 1 TB variant update is important because it adds a major increase in storage space at the same price as the last top-tier device. This means gamers who want to download a lot more games now have the option to do so at no additional cost. People looking to have more storage space now have the opportunity to get it without paying extra.

New 1TB storage tier costs same as 512GB model

The new 1 TB variant model shares the same internal parts as the 512 GB variant, so we don't get any kind of boost in terms of performance on the CPU or GPU side. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset will be powering the device and will be handling the same kind of emulation/gaming tasks as lower storage versions. It keeps the 120 Hz OLED screen and 9,000 mAh battery that the Odin 3 Portal is known for.

Specifications

  • Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • Storage: 1 TB UFS 3.1
  • Display: 120 Hz OLED
  • Battery: 9,000 mAh

The new variant will feature 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of UFS 3.1 flash storage. It will be available in Black, Cold Grey, and White colors, the same as other storage tiers. According to Ayn Technologies, the same internal components will be used as in the 512 GB model; the only difference is that we get an increase in storage space.

The 1 TB variant is available for $669 USD (Approx. $669) from Ayn Technologies, which is a discount from the rumored $699 MSRP of the last top-tier model. Pre-orders for the new storage tier have begun on October 23rd at 01:30 UTC. 1 TB model price: $669 In our last Odin 3 Portal update coverage, we touched on many of the same balance and stability topics that we are seeing here again. This new variant just adds on a bit more to the device without changing its essence. The new 1 TB model is now available for global pre-order at the given price point.
