Asus has released a new hardware configuration for the Vivobook Pro 14 laptop, giving buyers a more powerful option without increasing the chassis size. This update matters because it brings a high-end processor and a vibrant OLED screen to a device that remains thin and light enough for daily commuting. Readers who need a portable machine for creative work or heavy multitasking now have a specific model to consider that balances performance with battery life.

New Zen 5 laptop configuration targets creative professionals

The new configuration uses the model number M5450 and features the AMD Ryzen AI 9 H 465 processor. This 10-core, 20-thread chip is based on the Zen 5 architecture and includes an integrated Radeon 880M graphics engine. Asus designed the laptop to handle demanding tasks by allowing the processor to draw up to 80W of power in high-performance mode.

Specifications

  • Processor: AMD Ryzen AI 9 H 465 (10-core, 20-thread, Zen 5, up to 5.0 GHz, Radeon 880M, 50 TOPS NPU)
  • Memory: 16GB or 32GB LPDDR5X RAM
  • Storage: 512GB or 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD (supports up to 4TB via two M.2 2280 slots)
  • Display: 14-inch OLED, 2880 x 1800 resolution, 120Hz, 16:10, 100% DCI-P3, 1100 nits peak, DisplayHDR 1000
  • Battery: 80Wh, up to 27 hours life, 50% charge in 30 minutes

The display is a 14-inch OLED panel with a 2880 x 1800 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color space and reaches 1,100 nits of peak brightness, earning DisplayHDR 1000 certification. The system includes an 80Wh battery that Asus claims lasts up to 27 hours, and it supports charging to 50% capacity in just 30 minutes.

Memory options start at 16GB or go up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM, while storage begins with a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD. The laptop supports up to 4TB of total storage across two M.2 2280 slots. Connectivity includes two USB-A 3.2 ports, a USB4 Type-C port, a USB-C 3.2 port, HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5mm audio jack. We touched on Asus ExpertBook P3 G2 in our earlier Asus coverage.

Asus lists the 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD configuration for CNY 7,499, which converts to around $1,112. This pricing is available in China, where the device is also sold under the Fearless branding. Asus has not confirmed international pricing or availability for this specific configuration, so global buyers must wait for further details.
