Respawn Entertainment released a minor patch for Apex Legends on August 11, addressing several weapon bugs and stability issues that affect daily play. Players using the Mythic CAR and Hemlok Breach AR will see corrected animations and recoil patterns, which should make combat encounters feel more consistent. This update also fixes a map glitch on World's Edge and resolves an audio bug with Lifeline's Tactical ability. Gamers who have experienced Bloodhound respawning with a fully charged Ultimate will find that issue corrected in this release.

Respawn Entertainment addresses weapon recoil and UI glitches in latest update

The update, labeled version 3.18/1.000.132, targets specific gameplay mechanics and user interface elements. Respawn Entertainment confirmed that the Mythic CAR reload animations will now display correctly. The Hemlok Breach AR will now recoil as intended, correcting previous deviation from design specs. The World's Edge minimap now accurately reflects players location, removing a source of confusion during matches. Lifeline's Tactical audio now plays correctly when other HP regeneration is active, ensuring clear feedback during healing. Bloodhound will no longer respawn with a fully charged Ultimate, restoring the intended balance for the character's abilities.

Several technical issues remain unresolved and may impact performance on certain hardware configurations. A known issue causes DX12 DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED crashes when GPUs are used with specific CPUs. Initial investigations suggest this is related to dynamic overclocking on the GPU and/or CPU. Possible workarounds include setting Texture Streaming Budget to None or rolling back GeForce drivers to version 561.09. Another known issue notes that in some cases, the game doesn't fully shut down after exiting on PC. Performance issues on Nvidia GPUs (50-series) on Windows 11 are also listed as a known problem.

We looked at the last Apex Legends update earlier while tracking Respawn Entertainment's recent changes. When we covered the last Apex Legends update, several of the same balance and stability themes came up. This patch continues that trend by focusing on weapon behavior and minor UI fixes rather than major content additions. The fixes provided are specific and targeted, addressing bugs that have been reported by the community. Users experiencing the listed crashes or performance issues should consult the provided workarounds.
