Acer has refreshed its Go Air laptop lineup with a new configuration designed to compete directly with Apple's MacBook Neo. This update matters because it brings a high-refresh-rate display and modern connectivity to a mid-range price point in China. Buyers looking for a lightweight alternative to premium ultrabooks now have a specific local option to consider.
New Wildcat Lake configuration targets MacBook Neo rivals in China
The updated device is powered by the Intel Core 5 320 processor, part of the new Wildcat Lake family. Acer claims this chip delivers performance comparable to the Apple A18 Pro found in the MacBook Neo. The system pairs this CPU with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a 512GB SSD for storage.

Visuals come from a 14-inch IPS panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio and 1920×1200 resolution. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate, covers 120% of the sRGB color space, and uses DC dimming. Acer positions the laptop as a direct rival to the MacBook Neo in terms of design and portability.
The chassis measures 12.99mm thick and weighs just 1.19kg (2.62lbs). Connectivity includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports and one USB-A port. An FHD webcam with face recognition sits above the display. The laptop houses a 70Wh battery that Acer says offers up to 19 hours of runtime.
Charging is handled via USB-C with 100W fast charging support. Acer claims the battery reaches 50% capacity in 30 minutes. In China, the Wildcat Lake configuration is priced at 5499 CNY (around $815). The device is now available in China, but global availability and pricing have not been announced.
