Oppo Reno 15A launches in Japan featuring a 7,000mAh battery, 80W charging, Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, and IP69 durability. Pricing starts at 64,800 yen.

Oppo introduced the Reno 15A smartphone in Japan, bringing a massive power reserve to a mid-range device. The company positions this model as a rebranded variant of the Reno 15F, targeting users who prioritize battery longevity over raw processing speed. This release expands Oppo's presence in the Japanese market with a focus on endurance and durability.

The device targets Japanese users with massive battery life and durable build quality

The handset runs on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, which pairs with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage for standard multitasking. Oppo shipped the device with ColorOS 16 based on Android 16, ensuring access to the latest operating system features out of the box. The internal configuration supports the 8GB and 12GB memory tiers available in the Japanese lineup.

Specifications

A 6.6-inch AMOLED display dominates the front, offering Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 10-bit color depth. The screen reaches 1,400 nits of peak brightness to maintain visibility in direct sunlight. Oppo equipped the phone with a 7,000mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging and 55W PPS charging for rapid power replenishment.

The camera array includes a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilization, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. A matching 50-megapixel sensor handles selfie duties on the front panel. The device carries the CPH2801 model number and offers IP66/68/69 ratings for comprehensive dust and water resistance.

Oppo priced the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant at 64,800 yen in Japan. The higher-tier 12GB RAM and 256GB model costs 76,800 yen. Customers can choose from Afterglow Pink, Twilight Navy, and Aurora Blue color options when purchasing the device.

We touched on Oppo Find X9s Launches in India in our earlier Oppo coverage. The Reno 15A follows that announcement with a distinct focus on the Japanese market and battery capacity. This new model fills a specific niche for users seeking extended usage time in a compact form factor.

The Oppo Reno 15A is now available in Japan with confirmed pricing for both memory configurations. The device combines a large battery, durable build, and modern Android software in a single package.
