Control Resonant, the next game in the Control universe, is shaping up to deliver intense combat that feels fantastic once everything is unlocked. Set after the original game, it introduces a refined combat system with light and heavy attacks, three abilities, and a combo breaker. The game is currently available for pre-purchase at $59.99 ahead of its September 24th launch.

Combat evolves with light and heavy attacks
Remedy Entertainment is developing Control Resonant for multiple platforms. The story picks up after the events of the first Control, continuing the universe's lore. Combat becomes more engaging as players unlock more abilities later in the game, adding depth to encounters.
The game features two attack forms: light and heavy. Players have three abilities plus a combo breaker to use in combat. The Evacuation Zone offers rank-based buffs, side activities, and collectibles. Outside combat, the mind palace allows players to change loadouts and upgrade abilities.

Steam Deck support is targeted for launch but has not been confirmed. The developer could not provide details on performance or compatibility. We looked at Turok Origins Hands-On Preview at Summer earlier while tracking Remedy entertainment launches.
Control Resonant is priced at $59.99 globally and launches on September 24, 2026. The preview suggests the game is shaping up well, with combat that feels fantastic once fully unlocked.
