Steam hardware survey data reveals new adoption metrics for AMD graphics cards
This adoption milestone establishes the RX 9070 XT as the most popular discrete AMD GPU currently available to PC gamers. It now outpaces previous RDNA generation cards in overall usage metrics recorded by Valve's tracking system.
The broader AMD lineup shows similar growth patterns within the Steam ecosystem. The mainstream Radeon RX 9060 XT has also gained traction, surpassing the market share held by the older RDNA 3-era Radeon RX 7800 XT.
Despite these gains for AMD, NVIDIA maintains its dominant position at the top of the rankings. The GeForce RTX 3060 remains the single most popular discrete GPU overall with a 4.02% market share on the platform.
