released a major patch for Deadlock that targets game balance and aims to reduce the impact of snowballing advantages. The update introduces adjustments across multiple heroes, map objectives, and core mechanics to level the playing field.

Patch adjusts Soul Urn mechanics and kill bounties to slow runaway leads while boosting Holliday's Powder Keg capabilities.

The changes affect several playable characters including Holliday, Apollo, Calico, Warden, Silver Lycan, Graves, and Seven. Valve also modified interactions around Soul Urn deposits and Kill comeback bounties to slow down runaway leads.

Holliday receives significant tweaks to her Powder Keg launch parameters and barrel charge times. The launcher now starts with two charges instead of one and includes an alt-cast option for better control. Barrel charge time doubles at rank one but drops by five seconds at tier three, while the ability gains 100 bonus damage and increased spirit scaling.

Apollo gets a faster Disengaging Sigil return velocity and improved stamina management. His air jump reset moves to tier two, and he can recast his ability within four seconds at tier three. Calico sees stronger Return to Shadows mechanics with additive melee resist debuffs that apply on impact rather than after the explosion.

Warden shifts toward a tankier role with reduced bullet falloff distance and altered flask damage output. Silver Lycan faces longer curse cooldowns and loses healing at tier three, while Graves suffers slower charge accumulation for his Jar of Dead. Seven takes nearly 30% less bullet damage growth across her kit.

The patch addresses Soul Urn contested deposits by triggering the give-up mechanic earlier at one minute and reducing bounties by ten percent. Kill comeback bounties rise by eight percent, but permanent health bonuses from Golden Statue breakables decrease to prevent excessive scaling.

Valve continues refining Deadlock's competitive balance through iterative patches that target specific hero interactions. This update focuses on slowing momentum swings rather than overhauling core systems.
