Capcom has released a free update for Resident Evil: Requiem titled 'Leon Must Die Forever'. This new content introduces a roguelike gameplay mode to the title. The update draws direct inspiration from the 'Ethan Must Die' mode found in Resident Evil 7.

Players control Leon S. Kennedy through randomized areas linked by red doors

Players control Leon S. Kennedy as he navigates through randomized areas connected by red doors. Each run concludes with a boss fight against Victor. Players must prepare adequately before starting, as failure requires restarting the entire run.

The mode features an Ability Enhancer system that charges points for every enemy defeated. Players can upgrade ability slots every 100 points. Abilities are categorized into rarity tiers ranging from standard to gold. Red and Blue enemies drop higher-ranked weapons and require specific tactical approaches to defeat.

A timer governs the runs but remains generous. Players can extend time limits using Spinners or by reaching stage transitions. The Special Content shop allows players to expand inventory and upgrade abilities using Challenge Points earned during gameplay.
