It seems like a bigger battle is brewing for DMZ players in Modern Warfare 4, with the devs seemingly buffing the competitive side towards Pvp engagement. That's an important change in direction as it impacts the very risk and reward aspect of the extraction shooter model as teams will now be more focused on being combat ready vs stealth focused. If you're a buyer or just general player in the game, it'll mean more opposition encounters with enemy teams (instead of the standard focus on AI and looting).
Report claims Activision secretly adjusted DMZ to increase PvP encounters
Specifically, it's said to be a change coming to the DMZ mode in the Activision published game. DMZ has always been the hallmark extraction mode in the franchise, combining open world play with intense PVP conflict. It's the rumored changes that will make the human aspect more prevalent in the particular game mode.
The developer is said to have secretly made the changes per a new report that Insider Gaming is citing. They've reportedly put in the tweaks in without much public documentation (i.e. the suggestion that they're putting more weight towards Pvp interactions than before). There are no official patch notes and telemetry to show exactly how they've tweaked it up for the general community to be aware of it.
This comes after we recently talked about some community chatter around game balance/map rotation issues. And in that recent talk around the last Modern Warfare 4 update that we went over some of these same balance/stability points. But the rumors right now are that the devs are still working on tweaking the competitive experience of the DMZ mode.

Secret tweaks without patch notes are a bad look. Transparency matters in extraction shooters.
Does this mean I need to bring a full loadout every time now? The stealth runs are gone.
Yes. The article says the focus is shifting to combat readiness over looting. You will face more human teams.
