CONSOLES

BAKUDO, a sci-fi boss rush action game is looking to hit a wider scope with the inclusion of the release as one of the game's release options. This means that you'll have a chance to experience the title if you're a handheld gamer instead of enjoying it on your PC. The latest news comes in the form of an announcement that confirms a 2027 global release date for the game. This way, gamers know when they can expect to experience the game for themselves.

Sci-fi boss-rush game expands to Switch 2 alongside PC

BAKUDO from the creators over at SAYIL GAMES and publisher Shueisha Games is one of those games that's currently lined up for a PC () release. But it looks like there's going to be a major platform to add to the game's list of releases with the upcoming Switch 2 port. While it was originally only confirmed that this game would be seeing a PC release, we now have another platform to add to the list with the upcoming Switch 2 release. In this way, fans of the type of game will be able to enjoy it if they choose to play the title on either PC or Switch 2 once it's released.

When it comes to the type of game that BAKUDO is, we're looking at a sci-fi boss rush action title. So, this isn't one of those open-world games. Instead, you'll get to tackle a number of major bad guys that you'll need to face off against.

This means that you'll have some pretty intense and fast-paced game mechanics to play around with as you look to flex your reflexes and strategy against some pretty formidable enemies. As for the Switch 2 version, you'll be able to get the high-octane fun of the experience on the portable system. Essentially, everything will be the same in terms of game mechanics.

Previously, we reported on the latest BAKUDO news, which included discussion on some of the same ideas for balance and stability issues when it comes to the development of the game. With the latest announcement on this matter, it's apparent that the studio is continuing to work on improving the experience in terms of PC as well as Switch 2. Because of this consistency, you can expect that any changes will likely involve working on some of the initial feedback the game received in terms of balancing the experience as a whole.

So, with all of this new information, it's now been confirmed that BAKUDO will have a global release in 2027 for both the Switch 2 and PC. The addition of the Switch 2 version is another way of making the game more accessible for the handheld gamers out there. In other words, if you're looking forward to a sci-fi boss rush experience, then you can look to SAYIL GAMES and Shueisha Games for BAKUDO's release.

Will the Switch version run at the same frame rate as the PC port? I need smooth combat for boss rushes.

The article states the mechanics stay the same. It does not confirm performance parity yet. We have to wait for closer to the 2027 release.

2027 is such a long way off. I hope SAYIL GAMES does not forget about us. 🤔
