October 20th, Bungie has updated Marathon to version 1.1.9.5 which includes a Vault Breaker event through November 10th. Why is this important? Because it changes the way you're going to get currency and handle your inventory for the limited time event.

Bungie reduces weekly stock for key crafting materials and Deluxe items

A 50% event currency Tier 1/2 bonus for solo play should make grinding in the game a bit easier for solo players. How does this impact you? It changes the way you might play your daily game especially for solo grind.

Beyond the event, specific game adjustments are noted as part of this game update. Bungie has adjusted stock for some important items. For example, the weekly count for Materials Pack and Cryo Archive Key Template has been lowered.

Both the Materials Pack 1 and Materials Pack 2 have been reduced from 5 units per week down to 2 units per week. Cryo Archive Key Template has been reduced from 3 units per week down to 1 unit per week. This will affect how often you're able to get those particular crafting components.

Deluxe items have also seen a reduced weekly stock. Weekly stock for Deluxe Weapon, Deluxe Backpack, and Deluxe Shield Implants have all been reduced from 3 units per week down to 2 units per week. Monitor Scan XP reward has been halved which should slow down how quickly this particular activity gets you to the next level.

One bug fix for the description of Repeater HPR weapon clarifies this weapon reloads in 2 round increments. These changes all help in managing the in-game economy and flow of resources.

It's interesting to see similar themes in the last Marathon update. We see an emphasis on stability and economy management in particular. C.A.R.R.I.

Armory is still available and Sponsored Night Marsh opens October 22. Be mindful of your resources as there are lower weekly stock numbers to contend with. The update also balances out solo player event currency bonuses with more stringent caps on available items.
