Bloober Team has announced a new studio called Broken Mirror Games. This new studio marks a shift in strategy for Bloober Team, focusing on cultivating external talent instead of just internal development. Broken Mirror Games is intended to help uncover voices in the horror space and provide them with the resources to create full commercial games.

New studio takes over Saw Genesis and Switch 2 horror title Onyx

At the head of the new studio is Tymon Smektała, a former employee at Techland. Smektała's presence brings external expertise into the new studio outside of the Bloober universe. Their mission is to seek out creators with unique visions and bring them from simple ideas to full-blown horror games.

Currently, the studio is working on two specific projects. The first is Onyx: The Dark Grip for the upcoming . The second is Saw: Genesis, further expanding the popular horror franchise.

Smektała believes that it's not out of the question to discover the next Hideo Kojima. This indicates that the studio has a high standard in the type of creative talent they're looking to bring into the fold. Instead, the focus will be on hunting down new creators who will be able to bring fresh, impactful horror experiences.
